What is Lotus Notes & Domino?
IBM Notes which was formally called Lotus Notes was client end platform developed by Lotus Development Corporation in the year 1989, Lotus Notes (now known as IBM Notes) is a client end software platform. The current version of IBM Notes 9 has two variants; the social edition and the cloud version. Lotus notes which started off as a basic e mail, calendar, reminder maintainer, has over the years metamorphosed to providing full–fledged client level collaborative functionality. Domino on the other hand is the server software that can be supported by windows, unix, Linux, and IBM Mid Range having capability to serve very large number of users per servers, with multilevel security capabilities having varied authorization protocols for different levels
