Job Summary
The Team Lead – Placements is responsible for leading and managing a team of Placement Coordinators to ensure successful student placements aligned with organizational goals. The role involves overseeing end-to-end placement operations, coordinating with internal stakeholders and employer partners, driving team performance against targets, and ensuring high-quality placement outcomes and student satisfaction.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1) Team Management & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Placement Coordinators to achieve individual and team placement targets.
- Allocate student portfolios and employer requirements among team members and monitor progress.
- Conduct regular team reviews, performance tracking, and feedback sessions.
- Train and guide team members on placement processes, interview coordination, and stakeholder management.
2) Placement Operations
- Oversee screening and shortlisting of student profiles in line with client job descriptions (JDs).
- Ensure timely scheduling and smooth execution of interviews between students and employer partners.
- Act as an escalation point for students, clients, and internal teams during the placement process.
- Coordinate with the Skill Development / Training team to bridge skill gaps and improve student employability.
3) Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Client Acquisition teams to fulfill hiring requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employer partners to improve placement opportunities.
- Ensure clear communication of client expectations to the placement team and students.
4) Target Achievement & Reporting
- Own monthly and quarterly placement targets for the team and ensure consistent achievement.
- Track KPIs such as interview-to-offer ratio, placement conversion, and student participation.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of placement activities, interview feedback, and outcomes in the portal/CRM.
- Prepare and share regular placement reports with management.
5) Student Engagement & Career Support
- Oversee communication with both employed and unemployed program graduates.
- Support and participate in employability workshops, interview preparation sessions, and placement drives.
- Ensure a positive and transparent placement experience for students.

Educational Qualifications
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Human Resources, Management, Education, or a related field.
Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in placements, recruitment, career services, or talent acquisition.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a team lead or supervisory role.
- Prior experience in EdTech, training institutes, or recruitment firms preferred.
